2010 Legends at a Glance
This spring league is open for girls and boys in grades 7-12. League groupings will depend on registration numbers. Teams are not selected based on where the players live. Rather they are selcected at an evaluation camp with equitable team strength being the goal.

Teams are selected at an evaluation camp held this year the week of March 22-25 with one evening evaluation per league. Specific dates will be announced soon.

The league starts play the week after the evaluation camp with one game and one practice per week. It runs until the first week in June.
2010 Legends Registration
The updated form will soon be available under the Legends Registration tab.

There will be no on-line payment option for the Legends registration this year as we are still working out some issues discovered last fall.

All registrants complete the registration form and drop it off on Feb 16 or 17th at Dr Knox Middle School between 6 and 8pm.

If this is not possible then the form and fee can be mailed to one of the addresses on the registration form.

If a player would like to play but is having difficulty raising the registration fee, please contact KMBA Vice-Commissioner Rob Marak at 250-470-1311.
Volunteers Needed
The league has immediate openings for a uniform co-ordinator and a sponsorship/promotion/awards co-ordinator. Please call Rob Marak at 250-765-6156. Thank-you in advance.
ATTENTION ALL COACHES
We are all concerned regarding the H1N1 virus that is upon us. Your executive would like to make the following suggestions and would ask that all coaches implement these with your teams.

1. We will not shake hands at the end of each game. Instead we will have the players touch elbows.

2. No sharing of water bottles.

3. Have all players either wash their hands after each shift on the floor [ in the washroom ], or, have a team parent p/u some hand sanitizer and have all players use this on the bench after each shift. Each player will need to bring a personal towel. No sharing of towels.

4. When the players first show up at the gym for a practice or a game, have them wash their hands before starting to practice or warm-up.

5. Remind players, if they sneeze, to do so in their sleeves, not in the air.

6. Remind players/parents to stay at home if they have any flu type symptoms.

Thank-you,
Matt Briscoe, Commissioner
